The Dallas ISD has passed one of the most sweeping "Freedom from Bullying" policies in the United States. The policy clearly states that our students have the right to be free from any type of bullying - emotional, physical and social - regardless of the means or methods utilized. In addition, the policy provides avenues to address the causes of the bullying (with the offender) and the consequences of the bullying (with the victim). The JBS Law Magnet joined with all Dallas ISD schools in the Fall 2011 and participated in the "Band Against Bullying," signed a Proclamation Against Bullying and declared that the JBS Law Magnet is a Bully-Free Zone.
Any suspected bullying should be reported directly to the Principal, Counselor or any teacher at the JBS Law Magnet. The school official will insure that proper procedures are followed. A copy of the DISD Freedom from Bullying Policy is attached here.
